Clarke Mainstream Services assists anyone involved in mainstreaming students with hearing loss in regular classrooms. Mainstream Itinerant Teachers of the Deaf provide direct and consultative services to students in preschool through high school. Services are provided as stipulated in a student’s IEP and can include consultation with professionals, direct service to students, support to families, program observations and training. Teachers must demonstrate an understanding of, and the ability to communicate, the challenges encountered by students with hearing loss in regular school.

Magnolia Speech School (Jackson, MS)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting children ages 2–12 with communication needs. The SLP will be responsible for conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with families and educational staff to support student progress. The ideal candidate will have expertise in assessing and treating a range of communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice. This role requires a professional who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to continuous professional development and high-quality service delivery.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dyslexia Therapist to join our team in supporting children ages 6–12 with communication needs. The Dyslexia Therapist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and collaborating with families and educational staff to support student progress. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Orton-Gillingham approach to Dyslexia Therapy. This role requires a professional who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to continuous professional development and high-quality service delivery.
The teaching position for Magnolia Speech School’s language impaired classroom will teach language, communication, literacy, and educational skills to children with a variety of communicative disorders.
The Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) for Magnolia Speech School’s Listening and Spoken Language Classroom will teach language, communication, and education skills to 4-6 children identified as Deaf or Hard of Hearing (D/HH). Children wear hearing technology including CI and hearing aids.

MOSD has four different programs to serve clients: Sound Beginnings (age 0-2), Sound Transitions (age 1.5-3), Sound Voyagers – Language Development program for hearing children (age 3-4), Sound Plus – Total Communication Program for children on the spectrum (age 3-4), MOSD Pre-School (age 2-5), and Outside Clients (All ages).
