Ashten C. Yost
Ashten C. Yost, EdD, CED, LSLS Cert. AVEd., serves as Director of Operations & Administration for OPTION Schools, Inc., a Deaf Educator and Early Interventionist with Biloxi Public Schools, and an Early Interventionist with the First Steps Early Intervention Program serving children birth to age three. She holds degrees in Speech-Language Pathology (BA), Deaf Education (MS), and Educational Administration (EdD) from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Dr. Yost has presented at state and national conferences on a variety of topics related to hearing loss, early intervention, family engagement, and special education. Her presentations include Newborn Hearing Screening, Bridging Communication Gaps: Tools for Engaging Hard-to-Reach Families, and numerous statewide trainings focused on Supporting Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and IEP development and implementation. She is committed to empowering educators, service providers, and families through evidence-based practices that promote positive outcomes for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
